Training in BlackBerry reached more than 1,600 businesses
More than 1,600 businesses in North America have already registered to participate in a BlackBerry 10 training program ahead of the operating system’s Jan. 30 launch.
The BlackBerry 10 Ready Program provides “information, guidance and support to businesses as they prepare their IT teams and technical environments” for the new OS, Nick Manning, a spokesman for Research in Motion Ltd., said in an email.
Manning said a “very broad range” of businesses from every sector had signed on, including Fortune 500 companies, government customers, major retailers, educational institutions and legal firms, but he declined to name any company.
BlackBerry 10, a crucial product for the struggling Canadian company, will be released at a major unveiling in New York. Last week, I got a preview of one of the two smartphones that will run the operating system”We think the registrations are an interesting barometer of broader interest in BlackBerry 10 in the enterprise sector,” he said, noting that 1,000 companies had already started the program sessions and training.
